Northeast Portland features arguably the most diverse collection of neighborhoods in all of Portland. It also contains some of the city’s most important landmarks, like Portland International Airport, Lloyd Center, and the Oregon Convention Center.

Northeast Portland is a Main Grid Room.

Description

Northeast Portland is truly diverse. Some of the oldest and most expensive homes in the city can be found here, but not far from them are neighborhoods that would be described as working-class at best. The inner Northeast areas are suffering from the process of gentrification, and the homeless are numerous and ubiquitous.

To the north is the Rose Quarter with the Rose Garden and Memorial Coliseum. It is a traffic nightmare during home games of the Trail Blazers, Winter Hawks, and other events. To the south, the Burnside Bridge area is a bustling nightlife and entertainment district known as Lower Burnside or LoBu.
